Ford Ranger Raptor Assault School Trains Owners Of New Ranger Raptors In Off-Roading

Ford has found that properly training its Ranger Raptor owners will help them learn to appreciate their new vehicles.

As noted in Torque News last week, Ford has brought its redesigned Ranger Raptor to this country so that owners here can finally purchase and own an iconic off-roader. For the rest of the world, the Ranger Raptor has been available for some time.

For Years Raptor Not Available Here (In U.S.)

Whether in Europe, Australia, or any other market, the Ranger Raptor was one of those vehicles that was “not available here” in the U.S. market.

Well, that changed with the introduction of the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor, which is now officially available to buyers in the U.S. For many buyers, the long wait is now answered, and they are buying one of the market’s mid-sized premier off-roaders.

The Ranger Raptor is one of those vehicles that anyone can jump into and go roaring, but are owners ready to handle all of the offroad potential offered by the all-new Ford Ranger Raptor? When you get down to it, it seems that while you can jump behind the wheel of the Ranger Raptor and go off bushwhacking, are you getting the most out of your offroading experience?

How Ford Trains Ranger Raptor Owners To Offroad

Here is just one example of the offroad training a new Ranger Raptor owner can receive at the RRAS. Instead of just jumping behind the wheel, powering up the Ranger, and then ripping off through the undergrowth and other rough trails, experts will help owners learn what their vehicles can do. In theory, owners will be able to start up their vehicles under the guidance of off-roading pros and then will be able to learn how to handle their new off-roading machines properly and slowly.

Ranger Raptor Owners Can Learn A Bit

Ford believes that a new owner can learn a lot with a few hours of offroading school. And we would have to agree. Yes, you can get behind the 2024 Ranger Raptor wheel, put it into one of the gears, and go charging off. But are you learning everything the Ranger Raptor can do?

So, to provide 2024 Ranger Raptor owners the full range of experience and to help new owners unlock the full potential of the all-new Ford Ranger Raptor, the automaker is about to team up new owners with offroad driving pros so that new owners of Ranger Raptors can learn under the expert guidance of real pros.

So that new Ranger Raptor owners can share the full range of experience offered by offroading pros, Ford has introduced the Ranger Raptor Assault Scheol. The Ranger Raptor Assault School (RRAS)

Ranger Raptor Assault School is a new, exclusive owner experience designed specifically for the Ranger Raptor. The program will be offered at the Ford Performance Racing School in Tooele Valley, Utah, starting in June. Owners of the 2024 Ranger Raptor can attend this one-day instruction set against the backdrop of Utah’s high desert terrain by registering at RangerRaptorAssault.com. Program cost is included with the purchase of a Ranger Raptor.

Curriculum Developed by Ford Performance

The curriculum, developed with Ford Performance engineering input, includes a variety of challenging terrains and maneuvers to build knowledge, confidence, and off-road skills. These include rock crawling and Baja runs, climbing, side hilling, descending, and braking.

“Our goal is for owners, whether novices or off-road veterans, to experience the full capability of Ranger Raptor and get a true understanding of the passion and attention to detail that Ford engineers put into developing it,” said Will Ford, Ford Performance general manager.

Ford Performance Racing School is known for its friendly, knowledgeable, and highly skilled instructors whose goal is to help elevate the skill and confidence of all drivers. Participants will receive both classroom instruction and off-road lessons, which include how to observe Tread Lightly principles to promote responsible off-road driving.

Ford Performance Racing School will provide Ranger Raptor trucks and safety gear. Participants are only responsible for their travel and lodging expenses; meals are provided.

School Follows the lead of Other Schools

The Ranger Raptor Assault School follows the successful F-150® Raptor® Assault School and joins other Ford owner experiences like Mustang Dark Hors Track Attack and Bronco Off-Roadeo, recently opened to non-owners.

These training schools have proven very popular among Ford vehicle owners, so it makes sense for owners of Ford Ranger Raptors to take advantage of these training sessions to get the full value of their new pickups.

Remember, this is the first time U.S. owners can get behind the wheels of a series of the best off-roading vehicles on the road. What the rest of the world has known for years, U.S. owners are finally finding out for themselves without reading reviews in publications that only showed U.S. owners what they were missing. Now, they no longer miss the great experience they are getting from their Ranger Raptors. They are having the chance to experience it themselves. The RRAS makes things better for them.
