Elon Just Detailed Tesla Model 3 Schedule in These Three Revealing Tweets

Just one hour before the end of the day Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk wrote the promised tweets and released the much expected news about the production of Tesla Model 3 detailing the start date and the delivery schedule.

It was not just one short tweet, but very detailed 3 tweets of when the Tesla Model 3 will be revealed and at what pace will the production accelerate. They came not once, but with the interval of 10 minutes. Thus, here is the latest news on Tesla Model 3 release.

Musk's 3 Tweets on Model 3

"Model 3 passed all regulatory requirements for production two weeks ahead of schedule. Expecting to complete SN1 on Friday. Handover party for first 30 customer Model 3's on the 28th! Production grows exponentially, so Aug should be 100 cars and Sept above 1500. Looks like we can reach 20,000 Model 3 cars per month in Dec."

July 7 Is Model 3 Release Date. It's 07/07/2017

Tesla chose 07/07/2017 as the release date for the first official Tesla Model 3. That means this Friday they expect to complete first serial number (SN1) production. Many people were waiting for the news on SN1. Tesla has passed all the government and environmental requirements for Model 3 and the automaker will increase the production exponentially. Tesla is two weeks ahead of the schedule, Musk wrote. Here is Elon's word.

Model 3 Handover Party at The End of July

Tesla is going to hold a handover party of its first Model 3 customers on July 28. Basically this means that this month Tesla will make only about 30-40 Model 3 vehicles. I assume that the first 30 customers will be invited to Tesla's headquarters their cars and the company will make a big media event on July 28. Tesla will make 100 Model 3 vehicles in August and more than 1500 in September and then grow from there.

Musk says Tesla hopes to be able to make 20,000 Model 3 vehicles per month in December.

Tesla supporters and enthusiasts are very excited on the latest Model 3 news. Alex Guberman, a Tesla analyst and the owner of the largest Model S Facebook group, who also makes weekly Tesla video news analysis, stayed up late and sent this comment to TorqueNews. "Now we have the date when the revolution will start. How many companies do you know that not only innovate and deliver amazing products but also deliver them ahead of their own schedule?"

In another news, yesterday we saw Tesla Model 3 interior and exterior pictures revealed in social media. Also, 2 Model 3 cars were videoed in San Francisco and one in Auckland, New Zealand.

After so many Model 3s seen on the streets and the recent news about the release date I think Tesla Model 3 becomes a regular news, in other words, you won't surprise anyone saying "I saw a Model 3 on the street." The interesting part starts in September. Tesla Model 3's closest competitor is the new 2018 Nissan Leaf, which has a release date of September 6. They are both in the same price range and have almost identical mileage/range. Which one will the consumers prefer, time will show because we have seen number of EVs rise and eclipse, but Tesla and Nissan Leaf staying strong.

Thought for discussion: 2018 Nissan Leaf vs Tesla Model 3, which one will be more popular by consumers?
