French President-elect to parade to inauguration in a hybrid

Aaron Turpen    May 10, 2012 - 11:39PM

Socialist candidate and president-elect Francois Hollande will parade down the Champs-Elysees in a Citroen DS5 diesel-electric hybrid hatchback.

Americans should see this as a direct snubbing of our own president, who drives a gas-guzzling tank after publicly eschewing a hybrid for "security reasons." Is this proof that Obama isn't socialist? Or just proof that the French take every chance to snub Americans that they can get?

Personally, I'm going with the latter. Damned baguette-eating, limp-wristed idiots with their glorified lightning rod landmarks..
