I don't have a directional mic (my Nikon P100 doesn't take one anyway), so the sound quality isn't the best. I'm going to get a dedicated video cam, though, so things will improve sometime soon. I've seen some people using their phones with mics and that might be an option, though my HTC with its 8MP camera is probably good enough for it, I question how it would fare without lighting controls as I know it does poorly with our kids on video if the light isn't just right. Plus the Nikon's lens is far superior to anything on a phone. Oh well. It's my first real foray into video that wasn't purely personal fun.
