Will 2023 Toyota Crown be Popular? (With Video)

2023 Toyota Crown is sleek, sporty, and luxury all in one. But will people want it?

One of the newest Toyota new vehicle launches I have been following very closely is the 2023 Crown. In fact, I have wondered if this could potentially be my next future ride (maybe a Limited with Advanced Technology Package?).

I like it that much – so far at least.

The Toyota Crown was revealed this Summer to great fanfare. People seemed to really like the exterior styling, the interior cabin, and the modern technology at first impression time.

Crown will come to market with three familiar trim levels – XLE, Limited, and Platinum.

2023 Crown Powertrain

The 2023 Crown Platinum has standard HYBRID MAX – the combination of a 2.4-liter turbo hybrid engine with direct-shift 6-speed automatic transmission. This produces an estimated 340 horsepower and will get 28 mpg.

Crown XLE and Limited, on the other hand, will utilize the 2.5-liter Toyota Hybrid System. Horsepower estimates are not yet released, but these trim levels should get 28 miles per gallon.

The popularity may be more of a statement about how hideous all their current styling has become. Would have been nice if they put more effort into the bZ4X, especially the interior and charging, instead of pushing their “best” into a new ICE vehicle line.

What platform is this car built on? An existing or a new platform. What segment does this car compete, Camry or Corolla? Does the engine use 0W-20 or 0W-16 motor oil? Wheelbase? Overall length, again to get an idea where it fits in the Toyota lineup. Interior looks cramped. What's the MSRP?

Less interested in the Crown than the Toyota Avalan.
Would'nd get a turbocharged engine and an electric motor.Sounds like it could be an expensive
endevour and aggravating ownership after the warranty expires.
Waitng now for the MazdaCX-70 which comes supposedly
with aV6 and rearwheeldrive.

I have been waiting for this car to come out, however now that I have seen it top to bottom, Im not sure it will be worth it. I own a Avalon and I wanted to upgrade to this Crown, not so sure anymore. Really wish they would do more to the Avalon interior like they did with this crown. Esp the stero in the Avalon, they are pathetic.
I LOVE toyota and really is the only car I will ever own. Seems like this car could become a nightmare when warranty runs out.
Also not happy about the “only” colors it is offered in. Where is the Blue? How about a beautiful green or orange!!! Thanks for the video Jeff!
