Top 4 Updates for the 2020 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro

The 2020 Toyota Tundra has arrived at dealerships with important new upgrades and additions. See what changes made the top of our list. Spoiler alert: Army Green is one of them.

Toyota fans and enthusiasts are looking forward to getting their first looks in person at the exclusive Toyota TRD Pro Army Green color on several of their 2020 models. This is the color chosen to represent only TRD Pro models for 2020 4Runner, 2020 Sequoia, 2020 Tacoma and also 2020 Tundra.

The Tundra is interesting because it comes with some important safety, convenience and technology updates that will make life a little easier and more fun while driving.

Pick your cab size with 2020 Tundra

One of the things that Tundra buyers will appreciate the most is the ability to choose cab size with the 2020 Tundra TRD Pro. You can pick between the traditional CrewMax cab that features a larger back seat and a 5 ½ foot bed and new-for-this-year Double Cab that comes with a smaller back seat but a longer 6 ½ foot bed.

Go back about 2-3 years and ask a Toyota fan what they would like to see on their new vehicle. You would probably start hearing comments about adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This clamoring has only continued to grow to bring these people applications to all Toyota sedans, trucks and SUVs. In-vehicle technology is becoming a bigger part of the car-buying criteria every year.

For the first time, the 2020 Toyota Tundra will include both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in all trucks across all trim levels. In addition, the TRD Pro will feature an 8-inch multimedia touch screen.

You may also be interested in knowing that the 2020 Camry and 2020 RAV4 will feature standard Android Auto for the first time as well.

Smart Key brings convenience and safety to 2020 Tundra

One of the nice things about a Toyota Smart Key is that if you have your hands full as you approach your vehicle, the doors will automatically unlock when you put your hand on the door handle. Talk about convenience.

Also, it brings safety and peace of mind to people. No more wasted time fumbling for your keys in your purse or pants pocket.

Of course, the main benefit is the push button start feature. With a Smart Key you can literally unlock your vehicle, start your engine, turn it off, and lock it back up again without even touching the Smart Key. You just need to have it with you.

Fortunately, the 2020 Tundra TRD Pro features standard Smart Key. It comes with auto unlock door handles on both the driver and passenger sides as well.
