Fans Nervous Over 2022 Toyota Tundra Pricing

People are excited about 2022 Tundra. But pricing reveal has them concerned.

Call me a Toyota Tundra fan boy if you wish. I suppose that is a very appropriate term considering I really like what Toyota has done with this third generation.

I have created many videos (“ToyotaJeff Reviews” YouTube channel) and written several stories here at Torque News / Toyota News on Toyota Tundra 2022.

My hands-on test drives and evaluations really have shown me the great leaps Toyota Tundra has made with exterior and interior styling, technology and safety, and ride quality and comfort.

Just a couple things left to figure out. Only a few really small details to reveal to the full-size truck world.

Pricing has not yet been disclosed by Toyota. We expect this information relatively soon, since the first 2022 Toyota Tundra trucks are scheduled to go on sale next month in December.

For a comparison, 2021 Tundra factory pricing starts at $34,025 (SR Double Cab 4x2) and goes all the way up to $53,400 (TRD Pro CrewMax 4x4).

Clearly nobody is expecting pricing to decrease between Tundra truck years and generations. How far it will increase is the wild card here.

And fans are feeling the nervous tension in the air.

Fans Comment on 2022 Toyota Tundra

Here is a sample of the comments and emails I get from my social media readers and viewers. It seems 2022 Tundra MSRP is on a few minds.

“I LOVE this truck, but how much will it set me back? I bet it’s out of my league.” Worried Lionel.

“Are we going to see the $70,000 Tundra?” Asked Jay.

Matt is reserving judgment until dollars are revealed. “Would be better if we know how much they are and when we can get one.”

YouTube viewer Robwinn added. “Hybrid MPG and price are what’s going to make my decision. Limited trim!”

Clarence needs one more piece to his puzzle. “Gonna trade my ’21 Tundra TRD Pro for a new Pro. Still waiting on the price Toyota!!!!”

And there is another side to the equation already, and this wins for comment of the day:

“JUST TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY TOYOTA! IT’S AWESOME!” Declared Tony who has his blank check already signed it appears.

Price and MPG are important. But I'm also curious about cab/bed configurations available. With the on-board generator, I would buy the Ford Hybrid except they ONLY offer the Supercrew cab and 5.5' bed configuration and the Ford Hybrid is not available with the Tremor package. Here is hoping Toyota is more flexible with its Tundra options.
