Despite going on sale last year, Volvo has decided to pull the S60 Cross Country from the United Kingdom due to poor sales.

Autocar reports that since the model went on sale in the U.K. last April, Volvo only sold 34 models. A spokesperson for Volvo explained that S60 Cross Country was never really aimed at buyers in the U.K. and that the Swedish automaker had sold all of the models that it "had access to" for the UK.

As a quick refresher, the S60 Cross Country is a sedan that features an additional 2.5 inches of ground clearance, larger tires, and plastic body cladding. Depending on the marketplace, the S60 Cross Country could be fitted with a turbocharged four-cylinder gas or diesel engine, and the choice of either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Will Volvo pull the S60 Cross Country from other markets?

We don't know at this time. All we know for sure is that North America, Asia, and other European marketplaces will still get the sedan for the time being. The U.K. will still keep the V60 Cross Country which has sold 478 models since going on sale last April.
