Subaru’s 4 Top Models Coming in 2022 And Why They Are Significant

Four significant Subaru models are coming in 2022. Check out the new 2023 Subaru Solterra, refreshed 2023 Outback, next-generation 2023 Crosstrek, and 2023 WRX STI.

Subaru of America will bring one all-new model, two remodels, and an essential refresh for customers in 2022. The first-ever all-electric 2023 Subaru Solterra, the refreshed 2023 Outback, the next-generation 2023 Crosstrek, and the 2023 WRX STI are all significant models for the Camden, N.J. automaker. Check out each new model and the red links for complete details on each new model.

2023 Subaru Solterra

The 2023 Subaru Solterra is the automaker's first-ever all-electric global vehicle, and it goes on sale in mid-2022 for U.S. customers. The Solterra will be the Japanese automaker's most significant new model since the Crosstrek and Ascent models. It moves Subaru into the new era of all-electric all-wheel-drive SUVs.

The all-electric compact SUV will be available throughout North America and will be priced around $40,000 for the base trim and could approach $50,000 for the fully-loaded Touring trim level. Check out the complete 2023 Solterra model guide here.

2023 Subaru Outback

The 2022 Outback is Subaru of America's top-selling model, and the all-new Wilderness trim level is beyond successful. The Outback is known for its off-pavement capabilities, and the more rugged trim is a big hit with outdoor enthusiasts.

The 2023 Outback, in the fourth year of their life cycle, will get a refresh. Subaru typically gives its models a refresh with a new front fascia outside (headlights, bumper, hexagon grille) and unique interior upgrades with fabric changes inside, and a new exterior color. The midsize SUV will also get new safety technology. New models should arrive in the late summer of 2022. Check out more details here.

2023 Subaru Crosstrek

The Crosstrek subcompact SUV is Subaru of America's hottest model with a younger demographic. The new Sport trim with the larger 2.5-liter Boxer engine is one of the hardest-to-find trim levels and has been on the fastest-selling model list in 2022. Subaru retailers are selling as many as they can get.

2023 Subaru WRX STI

The next-generation Subaru WRX STI is one of the most anticipated new launches. The 2023 Subaru WRX STI gets a complete redesign, and Subaru Corporation is now working on the all-new STI. The 2023 Subaru WRX STI will arrive in 2022 with a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine, tuned by Subaru Tecnica International.
