Subaru Crosstrek Vs. The Competition - There’s Still No Contest

How does the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek compare with the competition? If sales are any indication, there's no contest. Check out the new Crosstrek report here.

How does the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek stack up against the other subcompact SUV competition? A quick look at sales reveals it's no contest to start the new year. The Crosstrek is now the best-selling new subcompact SUV in America.

In February, the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek with (14,816 models delivered to customers) had more sales by volume than the Hyundai Tucson (14,031), Honda HR-V (8,371 units sold), Mazda CX-30 (8,026), Ford Escape (6,447), Hyundai Kona (6,080), Toyota Corolla Cross (5,240, and Kia Seltos (3,744).

How does the Crosstrek compare with other Subaru models?

The Crosstrek subcompact SUV is the number one selling nameplate in SOA's all-wheel-drive lineup last year and to start the new year. Crosstrek passed the 2023 Forester compact SUV with 10,030 models sold and the 2023 Outback midsize SUV with 9,108 sales.

What sets the Crosstrek apart from the other subcompact SUVs?

The Subaru Crosstrek rides higher with extra ground clearance (8.7 inches) than other small SUVs, and all trim levels come standard with Subaru's Symmetrical all-wheel-drive.

The Sport and Limited trims also have a new dual-function X-Mode for added off-pavement capabilities. In addition, the new system has settings for Snow and Dirt mode to the new Deep Snow/Deep Mud Mode and is best for sand where traction is compromised.

Sales of the 2023 Crosstrek are skyrocketing. When the remodeled 2024 Crosstrek arrives, we expect the subcompact SUV to pull away further from the other car brand's models.

What is the price of the 2024 Crosstrek?

The remodeled 2024 Subaru Crosstrek arrives this spring and summer and is still one of the most affordable new small SUVs and comes in five trim levels for U.S. customers. Crosstrek's starting price is $26,290 (the same MSRP as the 2023 Base model equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission). The 2024 Crosstrek Premium has a starting price of $27,440, Sport ($30,290), and Limited ($32,190). Pricing includes destination and delivery fees ($1,225).

The new Crosstrek gets upgraded power on its re-tuned 2.5-liter engine in Sport and Limited trims, newly designed exterior styling, and upgraded safety and entertainment technology. You can read the complete 2024 Crosstrek model guide below.

The Crosstrek will only get more popular with the 2024 model change and will continue to beat the competition.

While I own a Mazda cx5, my parents bought a 2023 Crosstrek and while it's not fast- that thing feels like its stuck to the ground, I love how it brakes and drives
