In a brilliant marketing move, Mercedes is offering buyers of selected models a savings certificate that is really worth something. The German automaker is partnering with United Airlines and giving a special deal to frequent fliers before summer ends. They will receive a certificate that is worth up to $5,000 savings on a new Mercedes-Benz. The bonus mileage offer and incentives are available to members who are MileagePlus Premier members who are buying or leasing most new Mercedes vehicles. What models does it include?

The offer includes thirteen Mercedes models including the best-selling 2014 C-Class. Some models like the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or CLS-Class will receive an extra reward if they are purchased through this program. Those who choose these models receive 25,000 bonus miles in the MileagePlus program.

This is a great offer from Mercedes as it opens up a saving program that has the potential to reach millions of luxury car buyers here in the U.S. It opens up marketing to more than 80 million people who are in United’s database, including nine million “elite” members according to Randy Peterson who is the editor of Inside Flyer.

The offer is now available on these Mercedes-Benz models. The C-Class, CL-Class, CLS-Class, E-Class, G-Class, GLK-Class, M-Class, the S-Class, SL-Class and the SLK-Class. Mercedes will likely generate many sales from the new marketing program. Mercedes has stated that they will pass Audi and become the number two luxury brand in the world by 2015. Brilliant market moves like this with United Airlines, will help propel the German automaker into the number two spot in the world. The U.S. is a huge market for the brand, and it will continue to grow with new entries like the all-new 2015 GLA-Class compact crossover coming out next year.
