Forbes Says If You Want To Make A Social Impact Buy A New Subaru Vehicle

Which car brand has the most significant social impact? Forbes says it’s Subaru. Check out why here.

Do you want to buy a car and brand that has the most significant social impact? According to the latest Forbes “Best Brands For Social Impact 2023”, Subaru of America is where you need to shop and buy a 2023 Crosstrek, Forester, Outback, or other new Subaru model.

Forbes says customers increasingly demonstrate that they care about a company’s social responsibility and environmental initiatives. But not every effort in these areas tends to move consumers to choose a particular brand.

“Efforts that have some connection to the product or service offerings of the business are likely to be perceived by consumers as more authentic extensions of the business,” says Debika Sihi, Ph.D., associate professor of economics and business at Southwestern University in Texas.

To showcase the companies and car brands “doing well at doing good,” Forbes partnered with HundredX to create our inaugural America’s Best Brands for Social Impact. Where does Subaru rank?

2023 Subaru

Subaru of America was named one of the top brands on Forbes’ Best Brands for Social Impact 2023 list. In addition, Subaru is the number one brand listed in the automotive category. The next best car brand to show up on the Forbes list is Toyota, at number eleven overall.

REI, a partner of Subaru of America, is the number one overall brand for making the most significant social impact on customers.

“Giving back is at the core of everything we do at Subaru, and it exemplifies our efforts to be more than a car company, and we’re honored to be recognized for that work,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Subaru of America, Inc. “The causes we invest in and partner with are very close to our hearts, and we take pride in our passion for helping others.”

Subaru has its Love Promise, which says it is guiding the Camden, N.J. automaker and its retailers in making the world better. Subaru says, “The pillars of Earth, Care, Help, Learning, and Pets, as well as the Subaru Share the Love Event, spread that love and philanthropy across a diverse group of partners and causes, including The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America and the National Park Foundation.”

Respondent feedback to the survey indicated that Subaru’s Crosstrek, Outback, Forester, and other model owners appreciate what the automaker does nationally and locally for their community and support causes its owners care about.

YES! The cute dog commercials and the slogan "Love. It makes a Subaru a Subaru" did influence me. But the experience at the dealership is what sealed the deal. Best car-buying experience ever. They really did go out of their way to make the experience enjoyable! I used to extol another Japanese brand (rhymes with Boyota) but I have switched to Subaru for LIFE!

I absolutely love my 2021 Subaru Forester. I did buy it for the reasons listed above. I care about the environment, National Parks, pets, seniors and children. This company proves it does as well. Not only that, but Subaru is a great reliable car and who doesn’t want that

We love our 21' Forester. It's safe and very nice to drive. Subarus committment to philanthropy is a main reason for acquiring our vehicle.
