3 Reasons Why Smokin’ Hot Subaru Crosstrek Impresses 4X4 Magazine

The Subaru Crosstrek gets global recognition from the UK. See why 4X4 Magazine thinks it’s the best small crossover.

Consumers are looking for safe, fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive vehicles and Subaru answered with the all-new second-generation Subaru Crosstrek (XV in global markets). Subaru’s 2020 Vision Plan in 2015 called for further expansion which they said would include new products, better engines, and a new modularized platform called the Subaru Global Platform. Crosstrek received the new architecture and it is impressing both owners and all-wheel-drive experts.

The 2019 Subaru Crosstrek is smokin’ hot and is one of the top-3 hottest cars in the U.S. because the new architecture improves driving characteristics, increases interior room, and it makes the compact all-wheel-drive vehicle safer than any Subaru model ever built.

Now Crosstrek (XV) gets global recognition in the UK and was just awarded “Crossover Estate of the Year 2019” by 4x4 Magazine. The small crossover beat strong competition in its category by impressing the judging panel at 4x4 Magazine with its superior safety rating being Euro NCAP’s highest-scoring vehicle of all time for child occupant protection at the time of its launch.

All-weather all-terrain capability

Crosstrek was also given high marks for Subaru’s permanent Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system that provides capability in mud and rough terrain. The judges noted Crosstrek’s X-Mode with Hill Descent Control to be very effective in extreme off-road conditions.

Crosstrek is used by active individuals who take it on back-country adventures to go hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, kayaking, and camping. For more fun in the dirt and extreme off-road situations, Subaru’s X-Mode traction assist system is standard on all 2019 Subaru Crosstrek trims. A number of adventure enthusiasts use the small SUV to get further off the beaten path with their vehicle.

4x4 Magazine also said Crosstrek offers up a sure-footed combination of grip, feel and sharpness for which Subaru is famed, giving the small SUV exceptional ride and refinement. Alan Kidd, Editor of 4x4 Magazine, said: “The new XV builds on the company’s already formidable strengths. It’s a very, very fine vehicle with a price tag that makes it the best 4x4 estate you can buy.”

Subaru hit a home run for small SUV customers with the all-new second-generation 2019 Crosstrek with its exceptional safety rating, all-weather, all-terrain “go-anywhere” attitude and it’s improved ride and driving dynamics.
