3 Way Dodge Hellcat, Viper Burnout for America!

Last night at the Roadkill Tour event outside of the Pontiac Silverdome, the folks from Dodge hitched a 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and a 2015 Dodge Viper to each other for a “3-way tug-o-war” that was really an incredible 3-way burnout – with the resulting smoke painting the sky red, white and blue.

Among the many attractions at last night’s Roadkill Tour event near Detroit was a ride along area, where spectators could get a thrill ride in the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and the 2015 Dodge Viper. At one point, the crew stopped the thrill rides for a unique 3-way tug-o-war between the Challenger, the Viper and a new Dodge Viper. A thick tow strap setup with 3 ends was linked to the undercarriage of each car and they were ready to rock.

Hellcat, Hellcat, Viper Tug-O-War
At first, I had wondered if we might actually see some sort of tug-o-war action, as I’ve seen videos of other vehicles working to pull the other backwards, but I wasn’t sure how a 3-way pull would work, especially when you have two 707hp cars and a lighter, 645hp car.

Turns out, none of the cars moved at all – at least not more than a few inches in any direction. As the video below shows, as soon as they got the go-ahead, the Viper began to smoke the tires with the Hellcat twins quickly getting their own tires turning. Within a few seconds, we could see that the Charger and Challenger had tires treated so that they would burn in blue and red, so when combined with the white smoke coming from the tires of the Viper – these three high performance Mopars created a massive plume of patriotic smoke.

The crowd surrounding the thrill ride area went nuts as the red, white and blue smoke filled the area.

So, if you have ever wondered what it looks like when 2,059 horsepower worth of Mopar muscle is tied together with multicolor tires, the video below with the Challenger, Charger and Viper is nothing short of incredible.
