I had a generator in my old house, but it was the cable wires down that would mess with me the most. I use one of the big battery backup things on Amazon that cost about $60 to prolong the internet and my desktop when the power is cut temporarily. Saves your work at least. ANd lets you finish up. I usually get about 15 minutes on the battery. Cheers guys.
