Back then it was a prototype I drove but their production could. Their pressurized tanks array was impressive. It makes sense for a limited niche market and here in LA, it would be cheap to own with plenty of AC from its exhaust :)

Golf Carts

I still think battery powered golf carts would be better given the price. Around here, people cruise town in their golf carts all the time. I've seen at least two electric scooters, but nobody owns electric vehicles outside of a couple of Prius models. The wind and freeway distances tend to preclude EVs for anything but going to the Post Office and the grocery store here.
