So everyone knows, I will be attending a Ford-sponsored event where they'll be showcasing the 1.0L EcoBoost engine that is in the new Fiesta. I can cover this here if no one else has any plans to do so. If anyone has any questions they'd like asked, say so before I leave tomorrow morning. :) I'll try to get enough usable photos to make a slide show.
They're claiming 123 horsepower, which is pretty awesome. The engine was just a plastic mockup, though, so the photos look dumb, but I got at least one that's usable for a story headliner. Drove the little Fiesta 1.6L as a first impression drive. Not a bad little car. Will be kick butt when it's 45mpg.
The NISMO Athlete Global Team crashed out of the 2014 Bathurst 12 Hour in New South Wales at Mount Panorama. The #32 GT-R NISMO GT3 made heavy impact and was totaled.

Go for it. I drove the 3 cylinder EcoBoost in a preproduction car a couple years back. i was surprised that it would chirp the tires on a hard shift.
