Over the past week we have been talking about the sinkhole tragedy at the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky while looking at pictures and watching video of the carnage, but thanks to the people at the museum – we have a look at the 8 damaged Corvettes prior to the earth swallowing them.

General Motors has issued a recall for 778,000 small cars due to ignition switch failures with reports of 6 deaths as a result of the problem, but doing some research into the whole situation reveals that those deaths may not have been caused by the ignition issue and those deaths are being mentioned to help spice up a fairly drab recall situation.

A little over 24 hours have passed since a massive sinkhole under the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky swallowed up 8 rare, historic Corvettes and we now have more information including videos that show us how it all went down – along with a look at the rubble in the hole afterwards.

The National Corvette Museum took a tremendous hit this morning as a sinkhole under the property caused a portion of the building to collapse – literally swallowing eight rare, historically significant Chevrolet Corvette models from inside the Museum’s Skydome.
