New 3-Inch TRD Lift Kit is Huge for Toyota Tundra Owners

What does it cost? Learn about the new Toyota Tundra lift kit and see how to get it.

Vehicle customization is big business. People all over the world spend tens of billions of dollars each year improving their ride’s looks, performance, convenience, versatility, safety, and technology.

In short, making it their own.

Toyota just announced a new Tundra customization kit that should do just that for new owners.

A new 3-inch TRD (Toyota Racing Development) lift kit is available for 2022 Tundra (and newer) trucks that improves both looks and performance for new owners.

Already a fully accomplished full-size truck, 2023 Toyota Tundra is now even meaner and tougher and bolder than ever before.

When you order the lift kit, it will come with all hardware necessary for installation. Bilstein front and rear shocks, taller front coil springs, Roush forged upper control arms, front lower knuckles, front stabilizer links, front outer tie rods, front tie rod sleeves, front extended drive shafts, front bumper stops, and extended brake flex hoses are all included.

This is the only lift kit approved by Toyota that can work in tandem with Toyota Safety Sense. I know that is a question that my “ToyotaJeff Reviews” YouTube channel viewers have asked me on occasion – if a lift kit will cancel out Toyota Safety Sense.

Peace of mind my friends. Peace of mind.

Ground clearance is increased by 2.6 inches with the lift kit installation. In addition, approach angle improves from 21 degrees to 26 degrees and departure angle increases from 24 degrees to 25 degrees.

Now think about all the things you can do and all the places you can go with this added off-road versatility and capability.

Double score for Tundra. And ten points for Gryffindor.

What 2023 Tundra trucks qualify?

Truck owners with a 2022 Toyota Tundra or 2023 Tundra may want to consider this new TRD lift kit. It is available on most Tundra iFORCE and iFORCE MAX (Tundra Hybrid) 4x4 trucks with a 5.5-foot or 6.6-foot bed.

This kit is not compatible, however, on some models. It will not work for Tundras with the upgraded air suspension or Adaptive Variable Suspension, as well as Tundra TRD Pro and TRD Sport trucks.

How to Get Tundra Lift

This 3-inch lift kit is offered as a dealer-installed option only.

If you install the kit prior to or at the time of your Tundra purchase, it comes with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty on parts.

Owners still get a 12-month warranty (regardless of mileage), though, if the lift kit is installed after the time of purchase.

Look for a retail MSRP of $3,995. This does not include dealer installation labor charges.

For me, the new TRD lift kit provides styling, performance, and simplicity. This makes customizing your Toyota Tundra easy and straightforward, since all you need to do is add it in with your purchase. Or install it after you buy. The guesswork and planning have already been done for you.

What do you think of this new TRD customization kit for 2022 and 2023 Tundra? Is this something you would consider installing on your truck?

I just had my local dealer install this lift kit on my 2022 Tundra limited edition. What an amazing difference. Wow love the look with the new lift and 285/65/20 Nitto grappler tires all recommended by my service advisor. Love it.
