Each year Toyota chooses one exclusive color for its TRD Pro lineup. This paint color will be featured on the toughest Sequoia, Tundra, Tacoma and 4Runner trucks and SUVs.
For 2022 models, this is shaping up to be a rather confusing year. Toyota is abandoning its traditional model for including all four models in the same color choice.
The 2022 Tacoma has Electric Lime Metallic, 2022 4Runner has Lime Rush (it is similar but not the same) and 2022 Tundra has not been announced yet.
As for 2022 Sequoia, well here we go. The 2022 Toyota Sequoia color is…
Lunar Rock.
Wait, Lunar Rock?
2022 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro
Yes, that is right. Lunar Rock is the official exclusive color for 2022 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro.
But wait Jeff, isn’t Lunar Rock currently the TRD Pro color for 2021 right now?
Yes.
This is the first time there has been a carryover exclusive color for a Toyota TRD Pro from one year to the next.
Sequoia TRD Pro 2022 is available in four paint colors – Lunar Rock, Wind Chill Pearl, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic.
I think Lunar Rock is tough and rugged and stunning. But I have gotten used to the novelty of switching colors each year. It is an annual tradition in Toyota circles.
Might take some getting used to.
2022 Toyota Sequoia Colors
Buyers in the market for a 2022 Sequoia will have six color options for 2022. Look for Wind Chill Pearl, Shoreline Blue Pearl, Celestial Silver Metallic, Lunar Rock, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic.
2022 Toyota Sequoia Configurations
Just as there are six paint colors, there are six 2022 Sequoia grades (trim levels) as well. SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, Platinum, Nightshade Special Edition and TRD Pro.
Future of Toyota Sequoia
The 2022 model year is mainly a carryover year from the previous year. There are rumblings that perhaps the 2023 Toyota Sequoia could be a redesign year.
Really there is nothing substantiated on the matter. At least if you are not in the know, so to speak. I am sure Toyota knows one way or the other.
