Big Reveal (with pics) as Toyota Just Announced Two New Hybrids, Including 2021 Sienna

Learn specs (with included pictures) for just-announced 2021 Toyota Sienna. This is big news.

Toyota made a gigantic splash just now by introducing two new, but familiar, faces to its already impressive lineup of cars, trucks and SUVs.

Shall we dive right in, ladies and gentlemen?

Meet the 2021 Sienna.

2021 Toyota Sienna Specs

Toyota Sienna just released a plethora of information about its newest fourth-generation minivan. My first impression is that this 2021 Sienna is beautiful.

Impressive. Really impressive.

I am liking the aerodynamic and sleek flowing lines along the profile. It looks sophisticated and stylish and pleasant to the eye. First impressions are everything, right?

Sienna will arrive at dealerships later this year with five different trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited and Platinum. All trim levels feature a hybrid powertrain – as standard front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive options are available.

2021 Sienna produces 243 horsepower (which may remind you of 2020 Highlander Hybrid). It is powered by a combination of a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder DOHC engine and two electric motors.

2021 Sienna Tow Capacity

All Sienna models will have a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. Get your trailers and boats and other utility and recreational toys ready.

2021 Sienna MPG - wow

MPG ratings will jump off the page at you immediately. This is not the same Sienna you remember. Well, it is, but you know what I mean. Look for a whopping 33 MPG combined, which is a record for its segment.

We are used to seeing Toyota Sienna fuel estimates of either 19 city / 27 highway / 22 combined or 18 city / 24 highway / 20 combined, depending on trim level. This giant increase in gas efficiency should generate tremendous interest among potential buyers.

Other 2021 Toyota Sienna features

Plan on across-the-board standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0. There will be 10 standard airbags. Nine-inch multimedia screens.

Look for different driving modes such as NORMAL, ECO, SPORT and EV. This move can optimize your need for more responsive acceleration or for better gas mileage.

Oh, and there will be power-kick sliding side doors and rear hatch. I cannot wait to demonstrate this feature in person on my Toyotajeff YouTube channel.

I will write a more detailed story on the 2021 Sienna Hybrid soon, but I wanted to at least share some of the details with you now.

We will also be learning more about impressive new features such as 1200-watt JBL sound system, 11.6-inch 1080p HD Entertainment Center, 7 USB ports, bird’s eye view camera, 10-inch color head-up display, in-vehicle vacuum and refrigerator.

I do not think I have ever had so much information to digest all at once about a Toyota model. I hope you are all impressed with the Sienna announcement.

Time for your thoughts on 2021 Sienna

So how does it look? What is your first impression of the new fourth-generation 2021 Toyota Sienna? How about that XSE version?

Unfortunately, the 2021 Sienna middle seats do not stow in the floor like a gas Chrysler Pacifica, nor are they removable because they contain a side curtain airbag. That reduced versatility is a deal breaker in a van. They should have used the 2021 RAV4 Prime powertrain to get 302 hp, plus at least 30 miles of EV after plugging in overnight.
