Why Ram is Recalling Many 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500s

It is unusual for automakers to recall new vehicles, but this repair should be a quick fix.

Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 500,000 vehicles in North America because of a potential problem with the windshield wipers. The recall affects certain 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500s and 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500 Classics. The recall also affects certain 2019 and 2020 Jeep Compass SUVs. All of the vehicles involved in the recall were produced before March 3, 2020.

Why Some 2019 and 2020 Ram Trucks are Being Recalled

Fasteners that are supposed to hold the windshield wipers on can come loose. If the windshield wipers don’t work properly, drivers could have problems with visibility. FCA says that it is not aware of any accidents or injuries because of the problem.

How Fiat Chrysler Will Fix the Problem

FCA will contact owners later this month. Again, this recall only affects some of the 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500s. Service departments will tighten the nuts that hold the windshield wipers on to fix the problem. FCA is not saying how many of each vehicle are involved in the recall.

Customers are advised to contact dealers immediately if their wipers do not sufficiently clear their windshields, or wiper arms do not return to the “rest” position after deactivation. Customers with questions or concerns may call 1-800-853-1403.

The recall affects 425,588 trucks and SUVs in the United States. Another 76,280 vehicles will be recalled in Canada. The call back only affects 3,280 vehicles in Mexico. The recall affects another 48,802 vehicles outside North America.

It take over 20 mins to put about $25.00 in
The pump keeps shutting off or gas spills over the neck. Does not matter if you have the nozzle in as far as possible or in just so it will take fuel
What is the problem
