This Toyota Tundra Owner Did The Best Mod Ever And People On Reddit Are Drooling

Apparently, Toyota Tundra owners know better than Toyota when it comes to vehicle styling.

For some car owners, buying a vehicle isn't merely enough. Making it truly your own is where true happiness lies, and while Toyota's trucks, a case in point being the Tundra, have plenty of popular mods, one 2022 Toyota Tundra owner made an interesting modification that caught the eyes of people on Reddit.

Front and rear-end swaps have become a very popular trend in car culture. There are whole communities dedicated to that and I personally, follow one such page on Facebook. That said, I decided to go on Reddit and see what's up in the Toyota Tundra online world. What I found was a 2022 Tundra with a front end from the latest Toyota Sequoia

While most enthusiasts praise such projects for the work put into them, Reddit users actually shared that they like this custom Tundra look better than the factory one. Here's what some users said:

User hizilla: “Seeing this just makes me sad. Have my upvote for the work, cost, and effort if this is your rig. It’s beautiful.... Because this could so easily have been the stock look”.

Unlikely_Ocelot_ said: “Very nice work. This is how it should have been. Toyota really screwed the pooch on the new Tundra’s front-end design”.

GuiltyGTR said: “Yep, this is how they should come. I like this style infinite times more. The next ugly duckling is the sixth-gen 4Runner with the double hulk stache. Fugly”.

FainterXo said: “Looks like an extra large Tacoma which is a compliment because I love my Tacoma. This is sick”.

ThurmanMurman907 said: It's insane how much better that looks".

The front-end designs are fairly similar between the Tundra and Sequoia, though some users were quick to note the “giant mustache” grille of the Tundra, which is now gone.

User Diamondinthenorth said: “There’s no giant mustache".

The stock front end of a 2022 Toyota Tundra

The previous generations of both models were even more similar, but the new Sequoia front-end looks sportier and definitely makes this 2022 Tundra look more rugged. An unspoken rule dictates that a truck variant should always look more rugged than its SUV counterpart, and that's what this Toyota Tundra owner has achieved here.

As for how labor-intensive this operation was, the owner hasn't said anything yet, despite a few Reddit users having asked that question. The Tundra and Sequoia are, typically, different from the A-pillar backwards, so the mounting points are expected to be identical or, at least, very similar on both vehicles.

Should the owner of this modified 2022 Toyota Tundra decide to give more information about the difficulty (or ease) of performing this mod, I will update you with additional information. Or you can just follow the Reddit link I've provided earlier. In the meantime, what do you think? We know Toyota wants its clients to distinguish between the Tundra and Sequoia, but should they have done that to the Tundra from the factory?
