X-Bus EV - The Ultra Customizable and Modular EV Can Be Modified to Be a Car, Bus, Truck, Camper, And More

One of the most anticipated new EVs this decade is the X-Bus EV. it promises to have an ultra-modular and customizable design in an affordable package. This lets it be a bus, van, camper, pickup truck, and more depending on what attachment you add to it.

X-Bus EV - Ultra Customizable and Modular EV

The X Bus is an upcoming EV that has over 17,000 pre-orders. What is it, and why is it so compelling?

It's an adorable, light weight, simple, and ultra modular electric vehicle that can be turned into whatever you want.

Depending on what you put on the back of it, you can make it whatever you want.

There are many variants that you can add to this EV to turn it into something else. Here's the one's from the video I watched:

* A camper
* A cargo van
* A tipper (dump truck)
* A pickup truck
* A bus
* A transport vehicle

It can be turned into a micro car and is very affordable. The X-Bus starting price is around 17,500 British pounds. Most likely it will increase a little bit, but it still will be one of the most affordable EVs on the market.

The X-Bus dimensions are:

* Length: 3,640 mm (11.94 feet)
* Width: 1,600 mm (5.25 feet)
* Height: 1,940 mm (6.36 feet)

X-Bus Customizations

The customizations and the low price is what makes this a compelling EV to me. The fact that you can attach whatever you want to the back of it means you can have it be a car, truck, camper van, and even an ice cream truck or mobile restaurant if you want.

This means you don't have to buy a truck, a van, a car, but instead, you simply put the add-on you need for your drive and then go do that. You buy add-ons for it, which will be cheaper than buying a new car.

Or, you can rent a camper add-on or other add-on from X-Bus for just the time you need it.

The base vehicle weights less than 800 kgs (1763 lbs.). Much of the battery material is also removable from the vehicle if you want.

There is a 10 kWh battery that is permanently on the vehicle, and up to another 30 kWh of battery can be fitted inside the load space for additional range.

How much range would you get with this vehicle? With 10 kWh, you'll get about 40 to 50 miles and with 40 total kWh, you could get 160 miles to 180 miles or so.

The driver's area has a ton of space. It's a micro car, legally speaking, but there is a ton of room. There isn't a ton of touch screens and massage seats, but this vehicle is simple.

It has a flat piece of glass in front of it. The wipers are small and simple as well. In the center, there is a very small screen that is used to operate infotainment. The steering wheel also has gear selector buttons for park, drive, reverse, and neutral, making it very easy to put the car in the proper gear.

There will also be an eventual 3rd seat in the middle of the front area.

When will the X-Bus be ready? The company needs to find a partner that has the capacity and ability to manufacture the vehicle. I hope they are able to find one - this looks like a very interesting vehicle with an idea that I haven't seen anyone try before.

What do you think about the X-Bus and its modularity? Is this something that will succeed?
