Why 2015 Mercedes GLA-Class will be a global hit with millennials

German motoring magazine "Auto Zeitung" has voted the 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class with the best car design.

Mercedes has just created the hot new 2014 CLA-Class with its four-door coupe designed after the CLA, and now have another winner on their hands. The all-new 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class has just made its European launch and is already receiving global awards for its design. The Mercedes design team better be getting big raises after they have multiple models that are big winners for the brand.

The GLA-Class isn’t the only Mercedes car to receive an award. Readers of the German motoring magazine "Auto Zeitung" have voted the Mercedes-Benz brand into top place three times: the 2015 Mercedes GLA won in the SUV class, while the new 2015 C-Class was victorious among the saloons as well as being voted as champion across all classes.

Voters had to only answer one question: Which new model features the best design? Mercedes stole the awards by winning in three of the six vehicle categories. The overall Design Champion, according to the magazine's readers, was the new 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The saloon also won in its own category.

The winner in the SUV category was the all-new 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class. Mercedes has created a new segment with the GLA in the compact SUV segment. Voters in the awards were drawn to the GLA’s youthful and sporty appearance. Mercedes says, “The newcomer's typical Mercedes genes allow it to offer a glimpse of the future for this category of vehicle as a means of escaping the humdrum.”

Mercedes has done a great job of designing cars like the new CLA-Class and now the GLA-Class that is appealing to a new generation of buyers. They’ve created an exciting new lineup of small compact luxury cars that have great visual appeal on the outside. These designs are getting new younger buyers into Mercedes showrooms in record numbers.

The new luxury compact 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class gets a progressive design that will allow new Mercedes millennial buyers to use it for daily commuting during the week, and use it for recreation on the weekends. It’s small and compact enough for city commutes and robust enough with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive for off-road adventures. Young millennials are first being drawn to the new compact SUV with its exterior design who lead active lifestyles. Mercedes has another successful small luxury compact in its lineup. Look for Mercedes to be the number one luxury brand in the world by 2015.
