Take an exciting ride aboard the 2015 Subaru WRX STI at NEFR [video]

What does is look like from behind the wheel of the 2015 Subaru WRX STI Rally car? Climb aboard the Subaru SRT USA Subaru WRX STI with Higgins and Drew as they win stage 3 of the 2015 New England Forest Rally.

David Higgins was driving flat out all weekend at the New England Forest Rally. David Higgins and Craig Drew won eleven of the thirteen stages and continued their dominance in the Rally America Championship. The duo beat rival Ken Block and their own teammate Travis Pastrana to continue their winning streak.

On stage three, Higgins had an average speed of nearly 80mph as he drove the 2015 Subaru WRX STI Rally car on the fast dirt roads and through the forest. They finished the stage over 9-seconds faster than the rest of the competition. The team went on to win the rally, securing their fifth-consecutive Rally America championship title. Climb aboard and see what it looks like from the drivers seat as Higgins shifts through the six gears.

Higgins and Drew have won all six of the events thus far in the 2015 Rally America series and with two more rounds to run have a chance to go undefeated and earn a ‘perfect season’. It hasn’t been done since 1987 when current Subaru Rally Team USA team manager John Buffum did it driving for Subaru.

It was Higgins in first place again, followed by Ken Block in second and Travis Pastrana to round out the podium. “Subaru Rally Team USA is very proud to put both of our WRX STI rally cars on the podium while challenging the largest field of top competitors we’ve seen this season,” stated Subaru Motorsports Marketing Manager Rob Weir. “Both Higgins and Pastrana drove brilliantly despite competitive pressure and the challenging road conditions they faced during the rally.”

Next up is the Ojibwe Forests Rally in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota August 27-29. Can Higgins and Drew and 2015 Subaru WRX STI continue their winning streak? Stay tuned.
