Subaru Solterra Pricing (Japan) And A New Trim Not Coming To The U.S.

Subaru announced the 2023 Solterra EV pricing (Japan) and a new trim level unavailable for U.S. customers.

Subaru Corporation announced the all-new 2023 Solterra EV pricing in Japan and a new trim level not available in North America. Subaru of America gets the off-road-ready 2023 Subaru Solterra with standard all-wheel-drive and X-Mode for off-pavement performance. Japan customers can order the Solterra with all-wheel-drive (AWD) and a front-wheel-drive (FWD) trim level.

Subaru of America has decided not to offer U.S. customers the Solterra front-wheel-drive (two-wheel-drive) trim level. Subaru has not commented on why they won't provide the two-wheel-drive version, but it's likely to separate the new EV from the competition.

why does it come with 302.608 and even 336.783 miles of range for the select "ET-SS" trim in japan even with the AWD setup but is limited to 222miles in america ?
if that wasn't all about the way that the range is calculated in japan ... you can expect a way less SMRP in america proving that the japanese version comes with more tech and the japanese people have to pay the 10percent consumption tax that added to the price!
