Subaru Now Uses Autho For A More Secure Online Customer Experience

AuthO announced Subaru Corporation had chosen its online platform to provide secure identity management for the automaker. See what it means for 2021 Forester, Outback, and Crosstrek customer's online experience.

Subaru Corporation has chosen AuthO to secure identity management for its newly launched online customer experience, "My Subaru." When customers purchase a 2021 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, or other new models, they will get a more secure experience when accessing the automaker's custom online ownership experience.

Subaru's sales have improved drastically in the last few months, and Subaru offers new owners the ability to create a My Subaru account. They can schedule service online, get service reminders, recall alerts, be notified of special offers, and get discount coupons.

Having a My Subaru account lets customers track their service history, lock, unlock and locate a vehicle, and even enables the owner to know if their vehicle's tire is under-inflated.

Subaru Corporation will use AuthO to keep customer's online information secure and private. The need for additional security is driven by the auto industry trend of consumers researching cars online more than ever.

Customers need to feel secure in offering Subaru their information. Subaru says the customer experience could not exist without this advanced security, and "keeping customers' personal information safeguarded was paramount."

"Auth0 is a key factor in our ability to enhance our customers' online experience, and also provides us with secure identity management. Soon, we plan to launch a portal service compliant with the Personal Information Protection Act through Auth0's technology," said Atsushi Yasumuro, Chief of Business Innovation at Subaru Corporation.

Subaru already has more than 550,000 users on its owner-oriented "My Subaru" application, and they see the trend to use the service growing. Subaru has some ambitious goals to expand My Subaru users and "improve consumer engagement and users before and after-sales experience through universal identification."

Subaru has ramped up production of its SUVs in its Lafayette, Indiana factory, anticipating buyer demand as they research its cars online. Retailers are now getting more new 2021 models in for customers to purchase.

As 2021 Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, and other new model customers plug into Subaru's online customer experience, the automaker says your information will be kept secure with AuthO's secure identity management technology.

You may want to correct your story title to change the “capital O” to a “zero” to properly reflect the company name.

It’s Auth0, not AuthO.
