The 2017 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Sport Sedan was unveiled for a small press preview last night in New York. The event took place at the Subaru booth where the official reveal of the new Sedan and 5-Door model will take place today. Impreza gets it started

Subaru will introduce a new Global Platform and the first vehicle to get it will be the new 2017 Impreza. Subaru’s small compact has been built at FHI’s Gunma plant in Japan up until now, but the new Impreza will roll off the assembly line in the U.S. starting late this year. This is an important move for Subaru as plant expansion in Indiana will allow them to ramp up production in North America.

Subaru is counting on this new launch to be the most important new model since they introduced the VX Crosstrek crossover. The new 2017 Subaru Impreza will feature the brand’s “Dynamic x Solid” design featuring more interior space and increased safety that will be the hallmark of Subaru's future models. The 2017 Impreza 5-Door will be unveiled later this morning. Stay tuned.
