Wisconsin maker of snow-ice equipment for trucks selects director

Douglas Dynamics Inc., a Milwaukee-based maker of snow and ice-clearing equipment for trucks, today named a new member to its board of directors.

Douglas Dynamics (NYSE:PLOW), which designs and sells the snowplows and sand and salt spreaders and accessories it manufactures for trucks under the Western, Fisher and Blizzard brand names, announced the appointment of Kenneth W. Krueger as a Class II independent director, effective today.

Krueger joins the company's Audit Committee, Compensation Committee and Nominating Committee.

"We welcome Ken to our board of directors. Over the last 30 years, Ken has amassed a wealth of experience both in finance and operations management across the manufacturing industry," James L. Janik, president and CEO of Douglas Dynamics, said in a statement to reporters late today.

"He is a natural fit with our business and will complement the existing capabilities and strengths of our board members. We look forward to working with him in the years to come as we continue to grow our business."

Krueger previously was COO of Bucyrus International Inc. and brings a strong manufacturing background to Douglas Dynamics. Before that he was senior VP and CFO of A.O. Smith Corp. and spent 16 years at Rockwell Automation, where he rose to chief financial officer.

Krueger holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is a certified public accountant.
