Laurence Fishburne named the new voice of Cadillac

During college football’s Rose Bowl Game on January 1st, 2011, Cadillac’s new “red-blooded luxury” advertising campaign will begin and when it does, the luxury arm of General Motors will use Hollywood star Laurence Fishburne for voiceovers.

Fishburne, who is best known for his role is Morpheus in the Matrix trilogy, will provide the voice of this new advertising campaign. Laurence Fishburne has won an Emmy and Tony for his works on the stage and on the silver screen but he has also worked as a screenwriter, director and producer. Fishburne’s most recent voiceover work was in the 2007 releases of TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Rise of the Silver Surfer and with a variety of voiceover gigs for the video game world, Fishburne should be comfortable providing the voice of America’s leading luxury automaker.

The Rose Bowl Game will be played on January 1st, 2011 at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena California, pitting the 11-1 Wisconsin Badgers (winners of the Big Ten) against the 12-0 Texas Christian University Horned Frogs (winners of the Pac-10). The game will air on ESPN with the kickoff scheduled for 2:10pm, EST and we can expect the new Cadillac commercial featuring Laurence Fishburne to air throughout the course of the game.
