Dodge Charger Named One of the Most Loved Vehicles in America

The Dodge Charger has been named one of the Most Loved Vehicles in America by Strategic Vision, marking the 4th-straight year where the sporty Mopar sedan led the full-sized car class in terms of how much their owners love their vehicles.

The Dodge Charger is the bestselling rear-wheel drive sedan in America while being the second-bestselling large sedan overall, trailing only the front-wheel drive Chevrolet Impala. With the collection of high performance engines, there is no gasoline-powered 4-door sold in America that can compete with the Charger, making the big Dodge one of the most popular options in the world of modified sedans.

Not surprisingly, being the most popular performance sedan in America while also being the bestselling rear-wheel drive sedan on the market makes this the most loved full-size car in America.

“Dodge Charger exemplifies the energy, design, performance and quality cues that exemplify passion,” said Christopher Chaney, senior vice president – Strategic Vision. “This is what the 'Most Loved Vehicle' award represents, and why Charger is the segment leader.”

Strategic Vision Most Loved in America
For the fourth year in a row, the Dodge Charger was named the Most Loved Full-Size Car in America. Strategic Vision polled nearly 35,000 people around the country who purchased a new vehicle between October 2016 and April 2017 after they had owned their vehicle for 90 days. The poll and the survey are described below by the polling company:

"Strategic Vision has spent the past 40 years developing metrics that quantify emotion, culminating in The Edwards Commitment Scale®, which captures emotional responses ranging from "I hate it" to "I love it," with “satisfactory” as the intermediate option. Integrated into Strategic Vision's New Vehicle Experience Study (NVES), this scale becomes the key factor in the Customer Love Index™ (CLI), which directly measures Love in 120 different aspects of the ownership experience. These, combined with dozens of additional questions, gauge the strength and type of emotional connection buyers have with their vehicles to identify the Most Loved Vehicles in each segment."

The Dodge Charger also took the title for its segment in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Charger Vs Other Winners
Strategic Vision doesn’t offer a full rundown of the scores within each segment, but they do provide a list of all of the winners and their scores. The Dodge Charger won the full-size car class with a score of 559 points. Of the 12 cars awarded under this program, only the Corvette Coupe, the Corvette Convertible and the Mini Cooper 4-Door Hardtop received higher scores from owners around the USA. When you look at the entire list of vehicles, including SUVs and pickups, there were 24 vehicles on the list of the Most Loved in America. In addition to the Mini Cooper and the two Corvettes, The Tesla Model X and the Porsche Macan were the only vehicles to score higher than the Charger.

Some other class winners that failed to score as high as the Dodge Charger included the BMW 3-Series, the Honda Civic, all of the pickups and the Subaru Impreza.

So, in short, the based on owner input, the Dodge Charger is the Most Loved Full-Size Car in America, while also being the 4th most loved car and the 6th most loved vehicle overall.
