6 Small Upgrades coming for the Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang in One Package

The current Ford Mustang in Shelby GT350 and GT350R trim is the most track-capable Mustang ever, but the folks at Shelby American have put together a new styling package for the GT350 lineup which adds 4 unique features – allowing owners to give their modern Shelby Mustang a more exclusive look.

Shelby American recently introduced their newest Super Snake package for the Ford Mustang GT with a new wide body design as well as a new Super Snake F150 pickup, but the Vegas-based company has also cooked up a new package for the factory-built Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R. The Shelby American Styling Package for the factory Shelby Mustangs are fairly subtle, but this package allows GT350 and GT350R owners to spruce up their pony car with a little extra Shelby flare.

The Shelby American Styling Package
Over the course of the past decade or so, Shelby American has made a great many post-title packages for the Ford Mustang, many of which add power, all-around performance and a unique exterior design. The new Shelby American Styling Package is nothing like those elaborate, expensive post-title performance packages, instead adding some subtle styling changes inside and out for the modern Shelby GT350 and GT350R Mustang.

On the outside, the Shelby American Styling Package adds a new stripe package along the lower-sides of the new GT350, lightweight “Venom” 10-spoke wheels with Shelby branded center caps and a new taillight panel, which adds the Shelby font logo across a black panel between the taillights. There are specific wheel packages for the GT350 and GT350R, allowing drivers to swap out of their stock wheels without compromising performance.

On the inside, the Ford Shelby GT350 and GT350R Shelby American Styling Package adds Shelby branded floormats and a unique serialized dash plaque while the engine bay is spruced up with billet engine caps.

This is all just preliminary information on the Shelby American Styling Package for the 2015-2017 GT350 and GT350R Mustangs, but we can expect more details soon. We do know that when this package reaches the market, it will have an MSRP of $6,499, so these six upgrades – wheels/tires, taillight panel, stripes, floor mats, dash plaque and engine caps – aren’t cheap. It will, however, give GT350 and GT350R owners a chance to give their new Ford road racing muscle cars a more Shelby-intensive look inside and out without diminishing the performance capabilities.

Not for the GT350, and the panels are not in production. They are currently being gaged for consumer response, and if favorable, then the package and the panels will go forward for the 2015-2017 GT Mustangs only. They will not be compatible on the GT350.
