2015 Corvette Z06 Showing Up on eBay Under, Way Over MSRP

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will soon begin hitting dealerships around the USA and with this first wave of the most track capable Corvette of all time, it doesn’t come as a surprise that they are already listed on eBay – but it does come as a surprise that the new Z06 is available online with prices that range from thousands under MSRP to tens of thousands over.

The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is hitting the market with some very big shoes to fill. Since before we knew any of the specifics on the C7 Z06, it has been billed by the automaker is the most track capable Corvette of all time and with the racing history of the Corvette name – that is a serious claim to back up. Also, even before we knew how much the 2015 Corvette Z06 would cost, it was widely speculated that there would be massive dealership markups for the first units and with those first units expected to arrive soon, the first eBay listings have popped up.

A quick search of eBay Motors has revealed 3 listings for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupe and one for the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible. From those 3 coupe listings, we see one that has a stunningly low price and two that have predictably high prices, while the sole Z06 convertible has a price that is well above the base price, but it is not a “base model” Z06.

The 2015 Corvette Z06 Coupe Under MSRP
The most interesting listing for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupes is the one that is currently way, way below MSRP. The Arctic White Corvette Z06 being sold by eBay user platinum66 is currently listed with a bidding price of just $10,000, although the reserve has not yet been met. This car is loaded to the hilt with the Z07 package, the 3LZ trim level, a bunch of optional aesthetic goodies and an Adrenaline Red interior – a car which the person listing this Z06 claims which has an MSRP of $105,730.
We do not know what the reserve price is right now, but this listing could be your best chance to get a 2015 Corvette Z06 for near MSRP without ordering one in advance and cashing in some favors.

High Priced Z06 Coupes on eBay
The next two listings for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupe are priced at $122,000 and 129,900, both of which are Buy It Now prices and both of which come from dealerships. Both of these cars are manual transmission models, both are 3LZ trimline coupes and both are loaded to the hilt with just about every option that I can think of, including the high performance Z07 package.

The $122,000 BIN auction is for a black on black 2015 Corvette Z06 coupe from Rogers Auto Group in Chicago while the more expensive eBay Z06 is Torch Red with a black interior from Lynn Smith Chevrolet in Texas. While these prices may seem extremely high relative to the $79k base MSRP of the new Z06, I should point out that these cars are all fully loaded and GM hasn’t rolled out full pricing on the Chevrolet website for the new Z06, so these prices could be very near MSRP for a loaded coupe. However, the listing with the bidding at $10,000 states that their fully loaded Z06 coupe has an MSRP of $105k, so if the MSRP is similar for the cars with Buy It Now pricing, the dealerships are tacking on an extra 17,000 to 22,000.

The 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible
There is also a single 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible on eBay and while it has the Z07 package, it is “only” a 2LZ trimline model. This droptop C7 Z06 will be Laguna Blue and while it doesn’t have all of the options of the coupes above, it does have a Buy It Now price that is some 10k cheaper…for a convertible that will have a higher MSRP. As Buy It Now auctions go, this Laguna Blue Convertible might be the best deal on eBay right now for someone looking to score one of the first C7 Z06 models.

It will be interesting to see how the prices of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 look over the next six months or so, as the first units have reached dealerships around the country and others begin listing them online for sale.
