The Spotless 2009 Subaru WRX That Has Never Been Driven in The Rain

Mike Andrews from Ontario Canada tells the story of his Spotless 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX265, which has never been driven in the rain. Well, only once.

I have been into import and German cars for a long time, but this is the first car that I have decided to work on and upgrade myself (within reason). This 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX 265 packs a lot of punch with it's 2.5L AWD turbo that is a blast to throw around in corners and is fun to tinker with and modify.

What is unique about this WRX?
It's got Subaru's legendary symmetrical AWD and a completely custom HID headlight setup built for the car. It's also got a custom muffler that unleashes that beautiful boxer rumble.

I purchased this car in November 2011 with 28,800 km (17,895 miles). I am the second owner and it is just about to hit 40,000 km (24,855 miles). In Canada we use kilometers like in many European countries.

Once I saw this Subaru WRX I knew right away this was a special car. It was kept in impeccable condition. The previous owner had done suspension, short shifter and intake/tuning. I have continued that with work on the car improving the brakes and addition strut bracing. I have also customized the head and tail lights (thanks to Will at Prolightz for the build) and added some red hella horns, just in case I ever need to let someone know I mm there.

This summer I hope to get my hands dirty and upgrade the downpipe so I can retune it to put even more power to the ground.

Do you want to share any interesting particular story associated with this Subary WRX?
This amazing Subaru Impreza WRX, although being made to brave the elements, is only driven in the best of weather. It is spotless. The previous owner was exactly the same way as I am and kept this baby garaged when not in use. Funny story, after driving almost 2 hours to test drive the car the previous owner almost didn't let me because it was raining. The words out of his mouth were, "well its only ever seen rain twice so..." Finally I coaxed him into it and right after the test drive I put down my deposit and the car was mine.

I live in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I'm 28, married to my wonderful wife Jess. As it sits it will 0-60 in under 5 seconds while carrying a hockey bag in the trunk and putting a bit old smile on my face.
