3 Luxury Features and Changes Women Will Love in the New 2020 Cadillac XT6

The all-new 2020 Cadillac XT6 is available now and it has some luxury features and changes designed to make driving easier and more fun for women.

They say the devil is in the details and the all-new 2020 Cadillac XT6 is designed to add a little extra luxury to the luxury crossover market. Many of the new luxury appointments will appeal to men and women but there are three that women will find especially appealing.

1. 2020 Cadillac XT6: Better Ability to See

If there is one thing that women complain about, it is that most vehicles are built for taller men and it is hard for women to see out of them. Cadillac is promising better technologies help you see around the vehicle and unobstructed views from inside the cockpit. Drivers can opt for a Surround Vision camera system that provides a bird’s eye view of the vehicle so that you know exactly what is around you. No more surprise curbs or posts to cause problems while backing out of spots.

Drivers can also get a Rear Camera Mirror that helps see through cargo, passengers, even headrests, that can traditionally block your view. The camera shows you what is behind your vehicle so you have a perfect view.

The 2020 Cadillac XT6 will also have a special Night Vision infrared system available to help the driver see better at night. The Night Vision will provide alerts if it detects pedestrians or animals in front of the vehicle. Night Vision will also provide alerts if the driver is approaching a pedestrian, giving you more time to brake.

2. Better, More Convenient Storage

No one wants their vehicle to look cluttered and everyone wants a place to store items out of view, especially when you leave the vehicle unattended. Cadillac is promising a thoughtful approach to storage. The all-new XT6 will have a center console in the front row that is lined and well-lit. It has a dedicated phone compartment and standard wireless charging for compatible phones.

The second row also has a console. The Third row has cupholders and phone storage for both passengers.

Cadillac is also paying attention to improving the rear cargo area. If you are packing larger or awkward items, the vehicle has underfloor storage with a newly designed cover that stays open in any position for additional capacity. When closed, the covered compartment conveniently stows items out of sight. No more worrying about the purse that is visible on the backseat floor!

“The XT6’s thoughtful details reveal themselves the longer you live with the car,” said John Plonka, XT6 chief engineer. “Our goal is to anticipate our customer’s needs for a refined, engaging ride, matched with an interior experience that provides a place of rejuvenation, connectivity and adaptability in all three rows.”

3. 2020 Cadillac XT6's Improved Air Quality

It seems like everyone is complaining that their allergies are worse this year with the increased rainfall. The 2020 XT6 is taking steps to improve the quality of the air inside the vehicle.

Drivers can opt for a next-generation air ionizer that is designed to clean the XT6’s air by reducing airborne contaminants such as pollen. Cleaner air can make the drive more comfortable, especially for people who have allergies or children with allergies. We all know the feeling of driving through a dust cloud and feeling like it has filled your vehicle. The air ionizer can dramatically improve your in-car comfort.

“The interior environment is about simplicity, with an execution of premium materials,” said Andrew Smith, executive director, Cadillac Design. “We want the customer to focus on the experience —making each journey extraordinary.”

Both the luxury and the sport versions have a 3.6L V-6 engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The V-6 can kick out 310 horsepower. The XT6 will also have Active Fuel Management technology that can deactivate two of the cylinders and save fuel if the V-6 isn’t necessary. They will have up to four different driving modes that can be changed to suit different driving conditions.

Those are just some of the upgrades built in to the all-new 2020 Cadillac XT6. The vehicle has a base price of $53,690, not including delivery fees. It is definitely in the luxury crossover category but Cadillac says it is building luxury into all of the extra details. The 2020 XT6 is being built in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
