The video teases what we believe is an electric SUV concept. What leads us to this conclusion is a brief shot of the wheels that reveals a higher ride height than if it was a sedan. Other details the brief video shows is a large grille with a blue outline, panoramic glass panels on the roof, and a set of capacitive controls for the infotainment system.
This concept is our first look into a possible electric sub-brand Mercedes is planning to launch within the next few years. All of the models in this sub-brand will utilize a new architecture specifically built for electric vehicles. An SUV is expected to come out first to take on the Tesla Model X.
We'll have more details later this week when Mercedes debuts this concept at the Paris Motor Show.
