What better place to take the BMW M4 than to the European Alps for a challenging hill climb? Swiss Championship Hill climber Albin Machler took the BMW M4 Coupe and takes on everything from dry roads to rain and fog on the 15 minute hill climb. Watch as the onboard video captures Machler on the two lane road as he goes through the different stages.
The BMW M4 comes with a 3.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged inline-six engine developing 425 hp. The vehicle will launch from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 3.9 seconds. Albin Machler is able to extract every bit of that power on the hill climb. The video at times appears to be in fast motion, but it’s the actual speeds Machler is traveling.
Albin Machler drove the new BMW M4 in the 2014 races to the Swiss Touring Car Championship for the second time. Of a total of nine races, he won eight and drove seven to new course records. Machler’s M4 is completely stock except it received an upgraded suspension and tires.
