Video: 3 reasons why a new generation will flock to the new BMW M2

A new generation will be attracted to the new BMW M2 for more than one reason. It’s the least expensive M model, but there’s other reasons.

Look for a new generation of performance fans to flock to the new BMW M2 performance Coupe when it’s released next year. The all-new BMW M2 performance Coupe is a marvel in engineering from BMW M GmbH that will attract a new generation to the Bavarian automaker. Why will the new M2 be a hit with millennials?

The 2016 BMW M2 is the least expensive M model from the stables of BMW M GmbH and it’s designed towards a younger generation as against the other BMW M models that are much more expensive. It also offers impressive performance with its new TwinPower 3.0-liter turbocharged engine that pumps out an impressive 365 bhp and 343 lb-ft of torque. This is more than 70 lb-ft of additional torque than the past generation M3 produced.

The Bavarian automaker is planning to capture sales from the large millennial market in the U.S. comprising people from diverse cultures from the 24-35 age group. BMW believes that a large percentage of this target group, who have college degrees, will be able to afford a luxury vehicle.

The BMW M2 also comes with new technology and it is more attractive to a younger generation than the other M models. The M2 Coupe is digitally loaded which appeals to the millennial generation and features Online Entertainment, ConnectedDrive services, Real Time Traffic information and Intelligent emergency call.

BMW will need to connect with this new audience with new marketing strategies and advertising that will need to include creating a buzz in the social media and blogs along with the traditional television mode to attract the younger generation. This will be the challenge for the German automaker who until now, has targeted a group that has been significantly older in age. The new 2016 BMW M2 has everything the millennial generation wants. BMW just needs to deliver the information to this younger generation where they can find it.
