According to Hagerty, who insures collectible cars, the 2018 Subaru WRX STI Type RA limited edition performance sedan is destined to become a highly collectible car in the future. Hagerty published their "Hagerty Hot List” featuring 10 vehicles in the 2018 production model year most likely to appeal to driving enthusiasts now, and stand out as highly collectible car 30 years down the road.

Subaru only built 500 examples of the 2018 WRX STI Type RA limited edition for U.S. market. Hagerty says the limited run vehicles shouldn’t be sitting in the garage. ”We look for vehicles that push boundaries and beg to be driven, and these cars meet that test.” says McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty.

Hagerty says, “The WRX has a long history that has developed its own tribe of brand champions. The limited production of 500 Type RAs makes this the instant collectible of the 2018 Hot List.” In 2015, the Subaru WRX STI Launch Edition also made Hagerty’s hot list of future classics.

Here are the top 10 vehicles to make their hot list for 2018

Audi RS 3 ($54,900), Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE ($69,995), Dodge Challenger SRT Demon ($85,000), Honda Civic Type R ($34,100), Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk ($86,000), Jeep Wrangler ($26,995), Kia Stinger GT ($38,350), Lexus LC 500 ($92,500), Porsche 718 Cayman/Boxter GTS ($79,800) and 2018 Subaru WRX STI Type RA ($48,995).
