Subaru is known for safety, and the performance WRX is no exception in their lineup. It’s as safe as the Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, Impreza and Legacy models. The new WRX gets the highest Superior rating from the IIHS in front crash prevention tests. The Volkswagen GTI, Lexus IS 250/350, Audi A3 and BMW 3 Series all received the lower level Advanced ratings.

WRX has 5 safety features

The 2016 WRX, equipped with Subaru’s optional driver assist EyeSight, comes with Pre-Collision Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control. 2017 models offer even more safety
