The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek is in the fifth year of its production life cycle and will come with no changes, but all trims get a slight price increase. The Crosstrek is Subaru of America's hot model, and if it isn't broke, it doesn't need any upgrades. The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek gets a $275 price increase, and the Crosstrek Hybrid receives a $375 price bump.

There are no new upgrades for the 2022 model change. We reached out to Subaru of America and a spokesman told us, "The 2022 Crosstrek is a carryover. There are no new features."

What is the price of the 2022 Subaru Crosstrek?

The 2022 Subaru Crosstrek comes in five trim levels for customers. The base trim is priced from $23,570, Premium ($24,720), Sport ($27,920), Limited ($29,420) and Crosstrek Hybrid ($37,895). Prices include destination and delivery fees that increase +$75 ($1,125).

All 2022 Crosstrek trim levels come standard with Symmetrical all-wheel-drive, 8.7-inches of ground clearance, black-finish alloy wheels, standard roof rails, black side cladding, and a gloss black rear roof spoiler.

EyeSight safety technology

All Crosstrek trims equipped with the Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission, whether standard or optional, come with the automaker's EyeSight drivers assist safety technology featuring automatic pre-collision braking, pre-collision throttle management, lane keep assist, lane departure and sway warning, and lead vehicle start alert. The EyeSight system also includes advanced adaptive cruise control with lane centering.

Two engine and transmission options

The base and Premium trims are powered by the 2.0-liter engine producing 152-hp and 145 lb.-ft. of torque. Subaru will still offer the 6-speed manual transmission standard in the two trims or the optional Lineartronic CVT automatic.

Sport and Limited come with the 2.5-liter engine

The 2022 Crosstrek Sport and Limited come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine producing 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque coupled with a Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission.

Base trims come standard with Subaru Starlink, a 6.5-inch Multimedia system with touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, power windows, door locks, and side mirrors, 60/40-split fold-down rear seat, multifunction display with fuel economy information, tilt and telescoping steering column, keyless entry, security system with engine immobilizer, and carpeted floor mats.

Premium trim adds fog lights, heated front seats, windshield and exterior mirrors, body-color exterior mirrors, dual USB input ports, on/off automatic headlights linked to windshield wiper operation, and welcome lighting. In addition, the Premium trim gets a 6-speaker sound system, retractable cargo cover, cargo tray, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and shift lever handle.

The Crosstrek Sport trim offers a more rugged appearance with wider wheel arch moldings, 17-inch alloy wheels with a dark gray finish, and a gunmetal finish for the front grille, side mirrors, and badges. The Sport interior adds water-repellant StarTex upholstery with yellow stitching to the seating.

Also, yellow stitching has been added to the simulated leather door armrests, leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift boot, multifunction display visor, and center console lid. The carpeted floor mats feature the Sport logo and yellow stitching.

The Sport also has gunmetal simulated carbon-fiber interior trim accents, a high-grade gauge cluster with color LCD and yellow metallic finish trim rings, and a high-power LED rear gate light.

The Sport is the only Crosstrek trim that gets suspension upgrades with dual-function X-Mode. You can dial up Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings to optimize all-wheel-drive performance for more extreme weather and road conditions. All other Crosstrek trim levels equipped with the CVT come with standard X-Mode with hill descent control.

The top-of-the lineup Limited trim adds LED steering responsive headlights with automatic height adjustment control and LED daytime running and fog lights. The Limited also comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels in a black machine finish and body-color exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Limited comes upgraded with high beam assist, reverse automatic braking, and blind-spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert.

Other Limited features include a 6-way power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift lever handle, keyless access with push-button start, Starlink 8.0-inch multimedia, and multifunction display with color LCD.

Crosstrek Hybrid adds the features of the Limited with unique exterior and interior trim and offers one option package (moonroof, navigation, Harman Kardon sound, and heated steering wheel - $2,500). Exclusive to the Crosstrek Hybrid are Starlink Connected Services that include remote climate control and remote battery charging timer included in the Hybrid's free 10-year subscription to the Starlink Safety and Security Plus package.
