Want to keep abreast of all the happenings at NAIAS? There's an app for that

The North American International Auto Show announces its official mobile application, the imaginatively named Official NAIAS 2013 Mobile App for both Android and Apple iOS. Find out how to get it for free.

The 2013 North American International Auto Show has partnered with WDIV-TV Local 4/ClickOnDetroit.com and the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) to develop the official mobile app for the show. That app, available for both Android and iPhone/iPad (iOS) devices, is available free of charge from several sources, linked below.

The app has everything for the enthusiast who can't get to Detroit (or those who can't get to everything happening simultaneously) needs to stay up to date. It has official announcements from automakers, NAIAS staff, news items, photos, videos, livestream coverage of unveilings, and more. It also brings in and links with the show's official Twitter stream, which will be trending on #NAIAS, includes a virtual map of the show floor, local restaurant guides, weather reports, and information about ticket sales or access to specific events at the show.

“The new NAIAS App puts everything auto show in the palm of smart phone users,” said Jim Seavitt, chairman, NAIAS 2013. “It is the best way to keep track of what’s happening at the show on a minute-by-minute basis. It's the must-have App for 2013.”

With more than fifty vehicle unveilings scheduled for the show (so far), knowing where to be in the Cobo Center and at what time will be the primary use of the app for those on the scene. For those of us who can't make the show, keeping abreast from afar will be easy thanks to this handy app.

To get the app, you can go directly to ClickOnDetroit.com, get it from the iTunes App Store, or get it i the Google Play market for Android.

Remember: press preview days begin tomorrow (Monday, January 14), the Industry Preview begins Wednesday, and the public show opens on Saturday the 19th. NAIAS runs until January 27th.
