The configurator for the 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 and GT350R Mustang has fired up on Ford.com – allowing us to price out and build our ideal super-Stang, along with verifying prices and options for the newest Shelby GT350 pairing.

Thanks to a mix of leaked information and official information from Ford Motor Company, we have known a great deal about the 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang lineup pricing and options, but with the launch of the online configurator, all of that rumored and leaked information becomes official. More importantly, it allows prospective buyers to price out their next Mustang while dreamers can begin figuring out how they will be able to afford the newest super muscle car.

Building the Shelby GT350 Mustang
As expected, the 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang has a base price of $47,795 plus a destination fee of $900.

The first step in building the 2015 Shelby GT350 Mustang online asks you to pick your exterior color, with Competition Orange, Race Red, Deep Impact Blue, Magnetic, Avalanche Grey, Oxford White, and Shadow Black as part of the base price while paying an extra $495 will get you Triple Yellow. No matter which exterior color chosen, you can add a painted black roof for $695 and depending on the exterior color chosen, there are three different two-tone, dual stripe packages for $475 in black with white trim, white with black trim or blue with black trim.

Next, you can add the Track Package for the Shelby GT350 Mustang for $5,500, which adds MangaRide suspension, the driver control system, a rear decklid spoiler, an aluminum strut tower brace, engine oil, rear differential and transmission coolers and heavy duty springs.

If you do not want the Track Package, you can add the Technology package for $7,500, which adds leather seats, MagnaRide, the driver control system, a 7 speaker audio system, power climate control front seats, the SYNC 3 infotainment system and some other interior gadgets.

So, you can basically get the standard 2015 Shelby GT350, you can get the GT350 with the Track Package or you can get the GT350 with the Technology Package.

Building the Shelby GT350R Mustang
For those who want to dominate the road course and the drag strip after spending all week driving their new Mustang back and forth to work, there is the 2015 Ford Shelby GT350R. This package begins at $61,295, rising to $62,195 with the $900 destination fee. The GT350R is available in Race Red, Deep Impact Blue, Magnetic, Avalanche Grey, Oxford White, and Shadow Black for the standard price while having the same $495 upcharge for Triple Yellow. The GT350R also has the black roof option and three stripe packages, except the R gets slightly different stripes. The blue, black and white stripes all have bright red trim rather than black or white, but there are restrictions on which colors come with which stripes.

The only option or decision to make after exterior color is whether or not you want the GT350R Electronics Package. For $3,000, this package adds a 7 speaker audio system, a single disc CD player, SYNC 3, dual zone climate control, rear view camera, turn signals in the mirrors, navigation auxiliary gauges and floor mats.

So, the fully loaded 2015 Shelby GT350R Mustang costs $65,195. For that price, you get a Mustang that can be driven every day while still being the most capable American muscle car ever when the rubber hits the road course.
