Elon Musk Says Tesla Battery Day on Sept. 15

Elon announced a new date for Tesla Battery Day. Do you think it will be delayed again? Here is an important update to Tesla Battery Day with a new date announced today by Elon Musk.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk via Twitter said today that the estimated date for the Tesla Shareholder Meeting and Battery Day is September 15th. This meeting will include a tour of cell production system.

Do you remember in my Saturday’s report about the Battery Day I voiced an opinion saying Tesla is in a catch22 situation? If they announce now how much better and cheaper the cars will be soon who would still buy one now when the numbers are so important? They simply can't have their battery day before the technology is actually implemented in the car and ready to order immediately.

Based on that I think Tesla’s Battery Day has moved from "Let's talk about what we'll be making", to "Let's show you what we are making right now.” Tesla will have to be in an advanced stage of producing these batteries. Some of the car models will also need to be equipped with Tesla’s new batteries. It would make sense to at least equip the model S/X with the new battery.
