Only 2 months before the Mayans need a new calendar. The world doesn't end, just the calendar. it's just that the Mayan calendar covers 13 ages of about 512 years each so they don't need a new one very often. And actually their calendar just starts over at Day one. Age one.
It was a Mayan theory of repeating history that allowed them to predict the arrival of Hernando Cortez to the day. They didn't know his name or what he would look like, but that the world would be forever changed by his arrival. They nailed that one, eh?
