Ford Bronco order bank pushed back a month to January 7, which in turn pushes back delivery of the two-door and four-door Bronco until summer of 2021. Ford did announce a new interior color for those who had been clamoring for more options and Ford appears to be listening to the Bronco enthusiasts requests.

One of the issues that keep coming up with the Bronco is the lack of an optional 5.0-liter V-8 for the SUV. Hennessey Performance Engineering has solved that issue with a planned limited edition of its VelociRaptor line. This time it will be called the Hennessey VelociRaptor V-8 Bronco edition.

Even though production for the 2021 Ford Bronco doesn’t start until next year, the first early production models were assembled at the historic Michigan Assembly Plant where previous generation Broncos were manufactured. Ford also will offer a new color, Lightning Blue, to those who ordered a First Edition Bronco.

Torque News brought you the news that a manual transmission would be offered with the 2.3-liter inline EcoBoost four last week, following a petition campaign. That is the only engine with which the manual is planned, although one was sought with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6, none will be offered.

Ford Bronco will be the only 4x4 with a 7-speed manual and 35-inch off-road tires in its class. The manual transmission with Sasquatch package is targeted to be available in late 2021. You can build and price a Bronco starting in October.

Bronco Warthog, also known as the Bronco Raptor, appears much closer to production than expected. Originally, Ford was looking to release this as a 2023 model year, but now hinting that it may be much closer. Pricing to be released this fall before ordering begins in December.
