The official pricing for the 2016 Dodge Challenger has hit the internet and in addition to the pricing increases for Hellcat package that we discussed a few weeks back, we know that some other models also get pricing increases for the 2016 model year – although the bestselling packages will remain unchanged for the new model year.

According to the folks at Allpar, the Conner Avenue Plant where the Dodge Viper is built will be shuttered after the 2017 Viper production ends – but is this the end of the Dodge Viper or the end of the Viper having its own production facility?

We discussed the new Diablosport tuning packages for the Dodge Challenger and Charger with the SRT Hellcat Hemi yesterday and while we focused on the big power levels reached with the engine tuning upgrade, another interesting piece of information was how much power the blown beast loses when getting a little warm.

Now that we know the pricing for the 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and the 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat along with knowing the voucher value for the cancelled 2015 orders – it is clear that the Chrysler Group went the extra mile in making things right for those buyers who couldn’t get a Hellcat car in 2015.

The Nürburgring battle between the new Dodge Viper ACR and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will almost surely take place in 2016, after the track management has had a chance to smooth out a portion of the track which will then allow them to lift the speed limit through certain sections – which could also lead to new track records.

Last night at the Roadkill Tour event outside of the Pontiac Silverdome, the folks from Dodge hitched a 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and a 2015 Dodge Viper to each other for a “3-way tug-o-war” that was really an incredible 3-way burnout – with the resulting smoke painting the sky red, white and blue.
