We now know how much it will cost to land one of the all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xes. Based on the popularity of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Jeep is expecting great things from the electrified family vehicle. Keep in mind that government incentives may offset some of the initial cost of the Grand Cherokee 4xe that is expected to get about 25 miles of all-electric range. The government has given the Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid a rating of 56MPGe.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Details

All of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe models use the same powertrain that combines two electric motors, a 400-volt battery pack, 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine and TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission for maximum efficiency and capability. The 4xe system delivers 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The instantaneous torque is what many drivers find most attractive. Many of the drivers that use the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe for off-roading use the gasoline power to get to the trails and use the electric power for off-roading. The buyers of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe are expected follow a similar pattern. Plus, drivers who travel less than 25 miles each day may do nearly all of their driving on electric. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has 6,000-lbs max towing capability.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Trim Models

The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in four different models, plus one super luxury package. All of the models are fully off-road capable, but similar to other Jeeps, the Trailhawk model is the most off-road capable. All of the different models will have an additional destination charge of $1,795. The vehicles are due to arrive in Jeep dealerships this spring.

The basic differences in the models come down to the type of 4x4 system that the vehicle utilizes, plus the number of additional safety features and creature comforts. More expensive models have more upgrades and smoother rides. The Summit Reserve 4xe has all of Jeep’s latest technology. At the end of the day, each model is still a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe that has 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, formidable at any price point.
