G-Power tunes BMW M6 to a mind numbing 1001 hp

The previous generation E63 M6 is German tuner G-Power’s latest project and it’s an incredible piece of work. They tuned the 5.0-liter V10 powerplant to produce a massive 1,001 HP (736 kW) at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 900 Nm (665 lb-ft) at 6,000 rpm. G-Power said this is their most powerful vehicle they have ever produced and it was ordered by a customer in the United Arab Emirates who wanted the ultimate M6.

G-Power increased power by installing a twin supercharger system onto the V10 and a titanium exhaust system to help it breathe. The German tuner says the E63 M6 will sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds and pegs 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9 seconds. The 0-300 km/h (0-186 mph) sprint takes 21.5 seconds before topping out at more than 370 km/h (230 mph).

The stock powertrain of the new M6 comes with a 4.4-liter M turbocharged V8 that develops 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. G-Power chassis upgrades

Underneath, the M6 gets a chassis upgrade so it will handle that massive power. The tuned suspension is fully adjustable with coil-over springs that lowers the center of gravity and ensures stability at high speeds. The brakes have also been upgraded with ceramic brakes that use 400 mm vented brake discs to help the M6 have maximum stopping power.

You can see the massive G-POWER ceramic brake discs poking through 9 and 10.5×21-inch HURRICANE RR ultra-light forged alloy wheels wrapped in 255/25ZR21 and 295/30ZR21 Michelin performance rubber. G-Power says the total track-tested suspension upgrades were signed off on the M6 project giving it a “G-POWER NURBURGRING” setup.

Other G-Power upgrades inside and out

Outside, the M6 gets a bespoke carbon-fibre body kit that was developed in the wind tunnel for exceptional aerodynamics. The HURRICANE Wide Body kit blends key elements of the M6 design with G-POWER’s philosophy for a more purposeful look. The unique carbon-fibre body kit highlights the exclusivity of this one-off M6. G-Power calls it Custom-built “One-of-One”.

The cabin of the special BMW M6 is hand crafted with almost all surfaces covered in high-quality leather or Alcantara, featuring an innovative carbon imprint. The driver sits in ultra light race style seats with carbon-fiber backs for ultra performance driving. G-Power was able to put a big smile on the new owner of this 1001 hp BMW M6.
